Kyrstens final day as an elementary student

Finally! off the bus and ready for the new challenges ahead in Jr. High!!!
Kyrsten and Mrs. Cravin
Kaya, Kyrsten, Cindy, and Jessica

Kyrsten receiving a special award.

Kyrsten"s final day as a 6th grader a sweet but sad day. They had a promotion ceremony where the kids sang some songs and they recieved awards. Their diploma was their report card. Kyrsten recieved a Academic Presidential Award for recieving an A- GPA for the last 3 years of Elementary (Way to go) She was one of about 7 in her class to receive this award. I am so proud of her and her accomplishment. When the promotion was over, they were told that was the end of their day, they could all go home Kyrsten looked up and shook her head no she wanted to stay with her friends and help her teacher clean the room. Ready to move on but not ready to move on.

Goodbye Matheson Jr. High!!

Curtis final day as a Jr. High student!
Last day with this bus
Curtis standing in front of the Jr. High sign. Not quite sure what to think Curtis, Mr.Kerr, and Mrs. Gordon.

Some of Curtis' Class mates.

It is so hard to believe that my little boy will be going to High School next year! He loves to learn and does not understand that he will be leaving his teacher and friends behind for a new and scary adventure. What a fun day for him.
updates of Kyrsten to come soon.

one last ride before we go home

this is the final ride the kids went on before we left. Curtis did not like the going around and around. and Kyrsten got sick from the going around and around. (Guess that it is a good thing we saved that ride for left,)

final clogging competition of the year at Lagoon

ok so we didn't do any dance pictures this time (i figured that there was enough on the blog. After the 5 dances that Kyrsten was in we went and played on the rides. This is Curtis' first time at lagoon with us (because his mother is not a big fan of Lagoon.) but you can tell he loves the big rides.
Curtis avoided getting wet in Rapids. Kyrsten, Kaili and I got the worst of it.

We made the # even so Curtis rode on the LadyBug Bop with Kaili.

Some of the other rides that we rode that we did not get pictures of are the big ferris wheel. Kaili and Kylee on the Samari, Kyrsten Kaili Kylee and Raysha on the cliff hanger (I am not sure that Kyrsten went on it but the other girls said she did), the bat, and the colossus (which I am too big of a chicken to go on so neither could Curtis)
All and All it was a good day, but I am glad that it happens only once a year.

In-Step Dance Competition

Kyrstens dance solo to Kenny Rogers The Greatest. She competed this and got High Point Queen on Friday May 8th. Then got to performed it the next night at team competition. This is not the best video because I was nervous while recording it. It was done during the performance not the competition. We are very proud of her she is such a beautiful dancer. Thanks to her Aunt Marie for teaching her this solo and dance, she is awesome. :)

Curtis tumbling class.

Curtis may not have complete balance, but he loves his tumbling class.

They are trying to get Curtis to do a turtle stand, but he wants to go into a complete head stand. (Darn if his legs would just straighten he may get it.)
This last one Curtis is running and jumping on a little trampolint then doing a somersault onto a big mat.
