Kyrsten's 1st girls camp experience

Kyrsten and Shantae Meir doing an activity. There are a bunch of milk jugs in a big circle. They had to get the jugs out with out touching the ground in the circle. They also could use ropes but the ropes could not touch the ground. The next activity was getting across a patch of ground using only carpets. They could not touch the dirt.(Can you tell Kyrsten is a dancer? leaping across)

this was play practice the theme for camp this year was super hero's. Our ward was Wonder Women. and the Virtue was Integrity so they came up with a skit using Wonder Women and Bald Boy. It was way cute. They got 1st place. Anohter activity they had was using water in small cups passing it down with out looking and touching the person behind them cup. Kyrsten loved camp and can't wait until next year.

Curts Family Reunion

Cow Moose. The 1st thing we saw when we pulled into our camp ground was a cow moose. How cool is that to have them there every day.

we had many fun activities this past weekend the high light of it all was having the moose be there. It is an awesome sight to see such beautiful animals in the beautiful mountain. Some of the activities that we enjoyed were walking around mirror lake, decorating our own journals, and playing at the stream and lost lake. Curtis favorite was playing by the water throwing rocks in the little stream by our camp. He was happy and content to be there. Kyrsten enjoyed having her own tent with Kaili and Samantha. Thank you Aunt Patricia for all that you do for our family and all the planning that you do for us. We love you.

Camping near Big Spring about half an hour away from Lava

Can't really see Kyrsten but she was brave enough to go down the straight down slide @ Lava Hot Springs pool.

Curtis loves the easy going slides

Kyrsten on the 4 wheeling ride. She is not afraid to get in the dust. She had a good time riding the 4 wheelers on the tough trails. I took Curtis. (Now i know how Kyrsten felt. I have never been on a rocky ride. But I survived) A picture of us all hiking to big springs. (It was about a 5 minute hike. and last picture is of Curtis , Kyrsten, Everett, Logan, Aunt Patricia and others playing in the creek next to our camp ground. Thank you Aunt Patricia and friends for allowing us to come camp with you all for a few days we had a great time.

More fun at Uncle Chris and Aunt Maries house

We all put our lives in Kailis hands. She wanted to drive the ranger. (She really is a good driver)
Chris, Marie and Grandpa enjoying the ranger drive.

Cambri driving the smaller 4 wheeler and Kyrsten driving the big 4 wheeler with Curtis on the back.:) She was nervous about driving with him but she did an awesome job.

Curtis thought he would like to drive the ranger. (I guess I will be hiding the keys.)
even though he is old enough its a very scary thought.

We even went high enough to find some SNOW!! which Curtis loves and wanted to play in.
Thank You Uncle Chris and Aunt Marie for letting us come spend a few hours with you. We had so much fun. We love you.

summertime fun!

Kyrsten and Mrs. Cravin
Kaya, Kyrsten, Cindy, and Jessica

Kyrsten receiving a special award.

Kyrsten"s final day as a 6th grader a sweet but sad day. They had a promotion ceremony where the kids sang some songs and they recieved awards. Their diploma was their report card. Kyrsten recieved a Academic Presidential Award for recieving an A- GPA for the last 3 years of Elementary (Way to go) She was one of about 7 in her class to receive this award. I am so proud of her and her accomplishment. When the promotion was over, they were told that was the end of their day, they could all go home Kyrsten looked up and shook her head no she wanted to stay with her friends and help her teacher clean the room. Ready to move on but not ready to move on.

It is so hard to believe that my little boy will be going to High School next year! He loves to learn and does not understand that he will be leaving his teacher and friends behind for a new and scary adventure. What a fun day for him.
